How to Scan a Document from Printer to Phone
Scan from an all-in-one printer to your phone over Wi-Fi with the maker's app or a Mopria-compatible app.
Steps
- Connect your phone to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- Install the printer maker's official app, or a scan app that supports Mopria scanning.
- Place the document face down on the scanner glass, aligned with the corner mark, or load pages in the document feeder.
- In the app, choose Scan, pick your printer and set the type (photo or document), color and resolution.
- Start the scan, check the preview, then save it as a PDF or image, or share it.
Tips
- 300 dpi is enough for most documents; higher values make much larger files.
- Clean the scanner glass with a soft dry cloth if scans show lines or spots.
